Maybe it’s time to get uncomfortable…

I think it’s fair to say that most of the things that have truly changed my life – didn’t start with confidence.

They started with uncertainty.

A hard conversation. Setting a boundary. Ending a relationship. Starting over. Speaking up. Trying something new.

Almost every meaningful season of growth I’ve experienced began with that uncomfortable feeling in my stomach that whispered, “What if …. ?”

The funny thing is, we spend so much of our lives trying to avoid discomfort. We want certainty. We want to know exactly how things will turn out before we’re willing to even take the first step. But life just doesn’t work that way. Most of the time, confidence doesn’t come before the action—it comes because of the action. We become stronger by doing hard things. We become braver by proving to ourselves that we can do hard things.

I think that’s especially true for women. Somewhere along the way, many of us become so focused on responsibilities, routines, and taking care of everyone else that we stop challenging ourselves. We stop pursuing things simply because we’re curious. We stop trying things that make us feel nervous. We stop trying to be “more” because we’ve become comfortable simply “being”. And while comfort feels safe, it can also become a place where we stop growing.

So here’s my challenge for you: do one thing that scares you a little. Take the class. Book the trip. Start the business. Have the conversation. Wear the outfit. Say no. Say yes. Trust yourself. And if that thing happens to be a boudoir session, I’d love to walk that journey with you. But whether it’s a session or something completely different, don’t wait until you feel fearless. Most women never do. The magic happens when you decide you’re worth the experience anyway. đź’‹
