Let's talk beauty.
What is beauty?
Definition: (noun) a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.
Now let’s just think about this for a second… the combination of shape, color, form, etc., that pleases the senses.
Umm…
Whose senses?
Society?
Your partner?
Your ex?
The girl you work out with?
The guy in the next office?
The problem with beauty is… it’s universal. And we think it’s singular.
We look in the mirror and pick apart the “flaws”…
“That magazine says that size 12 means that I’m ‘plus size.’”
“My partner never even compliments me anymore.”
“My ex told me I was fat.”
“The girl I work out with looks perfect in yoga pants.”
“The guy in the next office doesn’t even notice I’m alive!”
Ladies... Those are singular experiences.
And you are not the definition of someone else’s opinion.
Clap those words back with me now!
You are NOT the definition of someone else’s opinion.
How can you be?
You know that saying that goes something like, “What someone else thinks about me is none of my business,”?
Well that’s entirely true. We are so focused on the singular opinions that we miss out on all of the hundreds of other beautiful things about us!
Why are we taking this to heart?
I know, I know… because it hurts to hear or think that anyone out there sees us as imperfect.
It sits in our minds and hearts when we start to accept those opinions as facts.
But hold on gorgeous… because our vocabulary lesson isn’t over just yet!!
Let’s talk about the word opinion…
Definition (noun): a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

NOT NECESSARILY BASED ON FACT OR KNOWLEDGE!!
Wrap your pretty little, gorgeous framed, perfect as you are, mind and body around that.
Let them have their opinions. Because that’s all that they are. Not facts. Not knowledge. And they have zero to do with who and what you really are.
So chin up, Beautiful! Go conquer the world with that gorgeous smile and badass swagger.
