I found Boudoir by Amy Gilmore on Facebook, just scrolling one day and it was like … something was just reading my mind?!
I saved the page and continued to stew about it for a while. I kept thinking I was too heavy and “What would my husband think?”, even though I know that he loves me completely.
One day I was thinking about it again and went ahead and worked up the courage to call and check into what it was all about.
I quickly booked a session for myself and kept it a secret from my husband so the pictures would be a surprise for his birthday, which was coming up in just a few weeks.
Getting started:
Jillene was amazing when talking with me through the process. She gave me all the information about what I needed to do. She would even text and ask if it was a good time to talk. She knew it was a birthday surprise, so I appreciated the little details like that. She answered every question and really helped to ease my nerves.
In the studio:
Clarissa met me at the studio the morning of my session and she was a BLAST! She made me look and feel more beautiful than I ever imagined. She made it all about me – asking if I wanted some music on and what kind I liked. We both love old Rock and Roll. So, that’s what we played and we truly enjoyed our time together. I couldn’t believe the final look of myself when she was all done. It felt like she worked some magic. She’s a wonderful person inside and out.
Those personal relationships with Amy’s team make a world of difference.
My time in the spotlight:
Amy came into the studio and started talking to me while the finishing touches were done to my hair and makeup.
Ther is a huge client closet to choose from, but you can also bring your own outfits if you like.
Before I knew it – I was in front of the camera!
My nerves were gone in the first shutter of the camera. Amy knew all the right poses and how to get the best lighting angles. She would show me a “back of the camera” picture of myself every now and then as we were shooting, and I was simply blown away by them.
*Spoiler Alert: I was sore after the shoot, but it was a good sore.*
For someone my size (plus) to go and have this sexy and beautiful boudoir session done: Well, I just didn’t think I could do it.I didn’t think I could look good. But I’ll be the first to admit – I was wrong! It was amazing in so many different ways. I didn’t feel fat or uncomfortable. These women are there for you, They help you to feel great in your own skin. Amy has so much to offer in her studio. You’ll feel sexy, gorgeous, beautiful, you name it! She has your back. (And you’ll love those images of your backside!)
I felt so much better about myself after the shoot! And ladies,.. it even helped the love life a bit! (wink, wink!)
If you’re thinking about doing a photo shoot with Amy, JUST DO IT!!
You will feel amazing, no matter your size or your nerves. You’ll walk away with completely different, positive thoughts about yourself.
I have to add – my husband was surprised. He was so interested and impressed that he and I booked a couple’s session just a few months later.
We had a blast doing that together.
